Song Choice
The song we have chosen is Queens Speech Ep 3 by Lady Leshurr.
We chose this song because we were comfortable with the genre (grime) and we instantly had good ideas on how to re create the video. Our video will be different than the original video as we will have more shot types, locations and costumes throughout.
In this video, the whole video is shot in one take. This also explains why she doesn't have a costume change and she is in the same outfit throughout. There isn't any different angles and she is just walking towards the camera. The video is edited with bold words that pop up onto the screen which visually illustrates what she is saying e.g when the chorus comes on she says "MadTing" and then the words come up. The words go in time with the beat of the song too. Her video is only in black and white while the words coming up on the screen are in bold colours such as red.
In our video we are using some of her ideas such as the black and white colour theme, animations/words popping up on the screen to emphasise the lyrics even more along with the performer, the white hat, crop top, no costume change, and the performer walking towards the camera. The things were are changing in the video is having a wide range of shot types throughout, different location and it being filmed in the daytime rather than night.
