Filming Day 5 (Gunes, Sureyya)
Filming in Barbican for verse one and the second chorus.
We decided to re-film verse one as we found a better location that will fit into our criteria: dark and gloomy area so we can project the artists personality that we try to portray. The lighting gives off a mysterious vibe which we consider to be a great opportunity for our music video as it will be aesthetically pleasing for the audience, which is our main goal. The lighting also sends off a sense of professional work. Another reason why location change is a good idea is because that is the only location that is indoors compared to the other locations for verse two and the chorus. For this reason we thought it would be a good contrast.
We had other ideas for the second chorus so therefore decided to film it. An example of this is the performer taking off her cap and bringing it towards the camera and turning the camera with the cap. You will see this shot in the ending of the second chorus. We thought this was a good idea because as shown before we'd like to show off the performer as an independent female and by doing this we are showing that she is taking control.
Rough Cut 2 (Sureyya, Gunes)
Rough Cut 2
This is the rough cut that is completed, however we still need to add in slow motion, black and white effects on selected shots and text when the chorus says 'mating'.

Filming Day 4 (Sureyya)
Filming Day 4
Filming of verse two:
Today was the day where we finished filming all shots throughout the music video. We have started editing and we are going to decide what shots to reshoot from the rough cut.
For verse two we took a lot of footage with many different types of shot types so we can make our video different from the original music video.

Filming Day 3 (Sureyya)
Filming Day 3
Filming of verse one, both choruses and location:
All of the shots shown below are still being filmed on the Barbican high walk. We have a variety of shots from close up to long shot of the performer, showing the costume and props from beginning to end.
The only shots left for us to film is the second verse. We already have footage for it, but we want to reshoot it as it didn't turn out how we wanted it to. The second verse will still be in the same location, near the fountains.

Extra audience research
Even though Stormzy is a male grime artist i believe that it has many similarities to a female grime artist. To start off the area/ location. As grime is London based it means the audience in majority is from London. This similarity shows that there is a widespread audience in defining grime within London. This therefore shows parallel between grime artist, male or female. The second similarity is gender based. Most grime listeners are male, this gives us an interpretation that our own artists song will be listened by male. Also female as lady leshurr's selling point is that she is female in a male dominant genre. This example shows a correlation between difference in gender inner grime. A third similarity is age. Most grime listeners are aged 17-26 on average. This involves both female and male artist. This illustrates that there many examples of grime artist all together. Overall i think male grime artist can be used for extra research as there are many correspondence in artists, in a genre that is male oriented.Thursday, 10 November 2016

Updated Storyboard draft (Gunes)
Updated and Finalised Storyboard

We created another story board after we got our pitch feedback and decided to change the locations. We have considered this because looking back at artist and their music video in our chosen genre. They had only one or two locations in contrast to us where we had four. Therefore we thought it would be a good idea to go along with it.

The main location is Barbican, we are filming within areas of the Barbican as there are many areas to film that will suit the music video perfectly. For example the ally way type bridge. This would be a good location because we have seen this in many other videos such as a music video from lady leshurr and Alan walker.
Each shot lasts 4 seconds, so altogether we have 47 shots which have a variety of shot types. For instance high and low angle shots, wide, long and close ups etc. We have used the wide shots for locations and close ups, extreme and mid shots for the performer.
Filming Day 2 (Sureyya,Gunes)
Filming Day 2
Filming verse two near the fountains at Barbican:
We have started filming again, not using the shots from day 1 of filming as we were not happy with the outcome of the shots.
In verse two, the performer will be having her jacket zipped up, still wearing the hat, shoes and keeping the black and white colour theme throughout.

You Gov profiler
Giggs
Are target audience are mainly from London, as grime is a UK genre. It is a mixture of men and females as are artist will appeal to both through empowering women and talking about issues that relate to women as she is a women herself and also appeal to men as good looking. This is backed up by Andrew Goodwins theory of the 'male gaze'. This is a example from the popular UK artist, Giggs.

Are target audience generally dont have strong political views, so that varies quite a lot. Although some of are target audience do have political views they are not strong as they have different priorities. Their monthly spare is high because they generally still live at home so dont have to worry about certain expenses, however spend their money quickly and are often left with no money approaching the end of the month. This target audience was taken from Krept and Khonan.
